Ashley is such a talented designer and I couldn't be more excited to be working with her and the rest of her creative team!!!

First Digital page!

Tonight I completed my very first digital page! I am soo excited and addicted already! Thanks to Ashley Meek, designer and owner of Hazel Olive Designs, I would have
never figured this stuff out!

I absolutely LOVE it already! It is so relaxing and I can do it anywhere. I love that I dont have to be alone in my scrap room, Instead I can just grab my laptop and go sit by my husband and create!
The page I created might not be much, but to me its HUGE!
I had such a blast with the girls and was able to learn so much!

Tiffany Blue

So I painted my bathroom Tiffany Blue....mistake??? Not sure yet, maybe it will look better with all the decor I have YET to get! I am realizing that it takes ALOT of money and time to get my home exactly how I want my home to look! It can be very frustrating at times, I don't want to wait and do a little at a time! I want it all now. I just want to go and get everything I need to make my home look perfect all at once lol...is that so wrong???
Oh, and technically Ryan painted the bathroom. I actually didn't even lift a paint brush.
Thank god for husbands, because I honestly don't know what the bathroom would look like if I got a hold of it!
Thank babe :-)

Chicken Chaos

On the left is the Devil Dog
on the right is Chili.
Chicken chaos, that's all I heard this morning when laying in my very warm and cozy bed.
For some of you who don't already know, My husband and I bought a home, and fortunately our neighbors behind us have chickens, and maybe roosters, not sure. So we get the benefit of not having to set our alarms. Ever. I mean it's actually pretty great.....they start their chaos early, around 5am until 9am. So if we ever wanted to sleep in...it's pretty much NOT going to happen. The chickens go on with their chaos through all hours of the day and night. I guess you could say they are right on schedule.
On an even BETTER note; I walked outside to check on our little heavenly god sent husky of 6 months. It was suspiciously quiet out there, which is unusual for her. God sent and all, she is the master of disaster, and a super rebellious- gotta have it her way kinda dog. So, when I walked outside, I noticed Allee (husky) was nowhere to be found. And again, for some of you who don't already know, we had the opportunity to get a brand new home with NO landscaped yard. Great, right? Pretty much a rip off...but that's how it is these days. So my very hard working husband of 6-7 days a week, comes home everyday after work and works until sun down, to get our yard landscaped with grass, trees surrounding the backyard perimeter, flower beds, rod iron dog run (he even built the dog house), and patio. so with only the sprinklers, trees and dog run in...there are not many hiding spots for this master mind to hide. So I panic, "Oh my gosh! someone came in our backyard and STOLE Allee!" "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, where is she?" as my stomach turns with anxiety. I turn and see a hole dug from under the fence, separating our backyard from the neighbors' back yard behind us. "NO WAY, she is in their backyard, with a male dog, and chickens...."

Something I forgot to add, Allee is in heat! So you can now understand the anxiety I must be having. Female, full bread Husky, in heat, in the same backyard with a large male Bull Dog, with CHICKENS..... What to do? I call for her name...of course she wont come! So I get a pig ear, In hopes that she would smell it and come! Nope, didn't work! Great! then I hear more chicken chaos! This time it was worse! Worse like, as if an evil dog from hell was attacking them! Allee was back there with the chickens. Now I'm freaking out! So I call the husband, and of course he wont answer while he is working, so I leave a panicked voicemail, like what any other girl would do. "oh my gosh! Ryan!! Allee is in the neighbor's backyard eating their chickens! I don't know what to do, what do I do!?" :hang up: Immediately the phone rings. So husband to the rescue right....that's what I'm thinking anyways. But what is he to do when he is working somewhere other than home. Can't do much, other than tell me what I can do. He said to go over to their house and get her. Umm are you kidding me? I just woke up, and I am not about to go over there and say "excuse me, can I have my dog back? Shes in your backyard getting pregnant by your dog and killing your chickens!" Yeah, I don't think so.

So fortunately I hear Allee over by the hole, and I run over there in my flip flops practically slipping and sliding in the mud, I yell for her name and she painfully squeezes through the hole. I, of course, put her in the dog run and spank her (or kick her-yes with flip flops on) And no, I am not an animal abuser. I love animals with all my heart. Even if they are devil sent straight from hell, like Allee.

P.S. I recently found out that it is NOT against the law to raise chickens in your backyard in the city. Really? You have to be kidding me.... :)

Chaotic chickens, dog from hell, and muddy feet. I'd say this calls for a starbucks and a much needed pedicure. eh?
